PDE Stocktake

Stocktakes can be conducted quickly and accurately by using a hand held calculator-sized device known as a Portable Data Entry (PDE) unit, which includes a barcode reader, a keyboard and memory to store the details entered.

To conduct the stocktake, the operator simply walks down the stock shelves, scans the barcode label of the next product to be counted, and then enters the count - or every item can be scanned.

At the completion of a stocktake with the PDE, the stocktake information is transferred to the main system.

A stocktake variance report can be produced and stock levels updated.
