There are many types of barcode readers that can be used including low cost CCD scanners, hand held laser scanners and omni-directional scanners like those used in most supermarkets.
Barcode labels, if required, can be produced on selected laser printers, ink-jet printers and on a variety of specialised label printers, where durability, size or shape of the label is important.
