Stock items may be referenced by either their barcode or by any of the other ways CONTROL provides for referencing a product (e.g. internal product code, supplier's product code, product description, etc.). This eliminates the need to remember codes and ensures that the correct item is referenced.
The stock barcode can be used in almost all parts of the system that require the identification of a stock item.
At the point-of-sale, CONTROL provides options for completely hands free operation where all that is required is to scan the barcode - similar to the operation in most supermarkets; or to select the item by scanning the barcode and then entering the quantity through the keyboard.
